Wow! Sometimes we really do get more than we bargained for, and this year, as a member of NSA – Virginia’s [ProTrack Speaking Academy], I surely did. Initially, I thought I would be tutored on the finer points of stage presence and speech writing, but I received so much more during my year in the mentoring program. My confidence and readiness to take the stage has grown by leaps and bounds and I have found a true clarity of voice for my audience as well. The real surprise and icing on the cake was to also gain the know-how to set up a successful speaking business and to use the internet as a way to build my community of interest and hence my customer market.
